Welcome From the Director

Welcome to the admission page of Whitfield’s website, where you will be able to discover many details about the community, the curriculum, and the admission process. As stated in our mission, Whitfield cultivates ethical, confident, successful students in a community of innovation, collaboration and trust. What does this look like? I invite you to visit and find out. Here is what I think you will see:
  • Students who smile.
  • Teachers who love what they do.
  • A place of where learning is joyful.
  • An environment where clear expectations and accountability lead to determination and success.
  • A curriculum that includes math, science, English, history, world languages, and the arts, but just as importantly integrity, perspective, perseverance, leadership, creativity, and collaboration.

At Whitfield, we believe that learning can be fun and that high standards and rigorous college-prep course work can go hand in hand with a healthy balance and quality of life. Sometimes the work is hard. Sometimes we learn from failure. But the knowledge that teachers care, the respect they show for themselves and one another, and the warmth of our community help students enjoy middle school and high school at Whitfield.

I am thrilled you have visited our website and encourage you to use it to learn about our academic and extracurricular program. But the very best way to see our mission in action is to visit us. If you have a student interested in Whitfield, please call today to schedule a classroom visit. I also encourage you to attend one of our admission events, one of our many concerts or plays, or an athletic contest. Visiting us will show you firsthand why Whitfield is so unique among school options in the St. Louis area. I look forward to meeting you soon.
