Middle School Spring Play Opens March 14
Posted 03/13/2017 11:03AM

Whitfield’s Middle School spring play, “J Tree and the Magic Ranger,” opens March 14, 2017. The play, an original script created by the cast and faculty member Keith Borzillo, is about the experiences of a family who takes a Spring Break trip to Joshua Tree National Park. During their visit a park ranger, an eccentric character, takes the oldest daughter on a magical tour of the park traveling back in time to visit both important events and random occurrences.

“There is a quirky sense of humor to this show,” said Borzillo. “It’s about relationships with siblings, friends and family with a little history about the park. The scenes are challenging for the actors yet relatable and hopefully educational for them and for the audience.”

No tickets are required but seating is limited in the Theater Black Box space located on the school’s garden level. The show is humorous and appropriate for all ages.
