As soon as school gets out, kids are looking for a way to make the time pass and have some fun. Whitfield summer camps are a great way to make that happen! Camps at Whitfield School fall into two basic programs: Camp Whitfield and Whitfield sports camps.
Camp Whitfield will return during the month of July. Assistant Director of Admission Meredith Schuh ’04 said, “Kids love technology and keeping that in mind, we have added new tech-based classes like coding and animation.” Camp Whitfield is a day-camp for students entering first through eighth grade, offered in three one-week sessions during the month of July. Schuh said, “Included in the low-price of camp is a delicious lunch, snacks, awesome field trips and class supplies! Parents can feel confident that their kids are well taken care of and having fun all day long.”
Campers' days are filled with activities such as indoor and outdoor sports and games, arts and crafts and even some theater-based fun. In addition to these activities in which all campers participate, each camper gets to choose a special topic from the “Sci-Art-Tech” choices for the week and will spend a portion of the day involved in that activity.
All of the activities are planned and implemented by Whitfield's talented teachers using our state-of-the- art facilities and technology. Enthusiastic student volunteers and young alumni counselors interact with campers each day. Campers really enjoy working with Whitfield students, and the feeling is mutual.
In addition to Camp Whitfield, Whitfield is holding top-notch sports camps again this summer. Options for sports camps include: boys basketball, girls volleyball, boys soccer, boys baseball and dance camp. Each camp is taught by Whitfield's varsity coaches with the help of varsity athletes, making the camps structured, engaging, and fun. Elementary and middle school athletes of all abilities will build skills and improve their game, all while having a blast!
