Whitfield's annual Fall Awards Assembly was held Friday, September 1, 2017. Returning students who earned the Scholar Award and/or the Community Service Award during the 2016-17 school year were recognized.

Students earn the Scholar Award by qualifying for the Principal’s Honor Roll for all three trimesters. Principal’s Honor Roll students must maintain all grades at the B level or higher, have good attendance, and maintain the highest degree of academic integrity.

Students who dedicated 100 hours or more to service between August 1, 2016 and July 31, 2017 qualified for the Community Service Award.

Whitfield's Head of School John Delautre, Principal Ruth Greathouse, Assistant Principal Sara Rodney and Middle School Director Jarrett Young were joined by Whitfield Student Council officers Bill Boldt ’18, president, Noah Hardy ’18, vice president and Andrew Bergantz ’18, secretary, in the presentation of the awards. After the ceremony, award recipients and their families attended a reception in Schmitter Gallery.
