Variety the Children's Charity of St. Louis held its 2009 Bike Build at Whitfield on Saturday, November 14, 2009. In partnership with the St. Louis Rams, Variety St. Louis
fulfilled the dreams of hundreds of deserving children by giving them
their first bicycle.
This year, the Bikes for Kids program expanded to provide therapeutic
bikes to Variety kids with physical disabilities, in addition to the
traditional bicycles Variety has been gifting for 13 years. Through this program, more than 2,000 bikes have been delivered to
children (ages 5-14) throughout the St. Louis area. In addition to the
