We can’t wait to see you!
Attention College Students!
We know this has been a particularly challenging time for many of you, and we wanted to connect with you to offer our support. As you navigate the unique challenges of attending college during a pandemic, our College Counseling team reminds you that we are here for you. Whether you are concerned about the impact this semester will have on your grades or credits, considering transferring, or would like general counsel regarding your college experience, our team is available to support you. Please feel free to reach out to Ms. Amanda Henry or Mrs. Barbara Sams at collegecounseling@
College seniors, we are interested in learning more about how your college intends to structure its graduation program this year. If your school has announced an alternative graduation program, please share with our Director of Alumni Relations, Ms. Laura Lotz, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our Students are Counting on Your Support
As we enter uncertain times, now, more than ever, we need your investment to sustain our extraordinary learning community. We hope that you received the letter from Cory Spielberg '94 last month. Thank you to do those who have already stepped up and answered his call to make a gift to Whitfield. While none of us know what is ahead of us, the extreme fluctuation in our economy will impact our school. Please consider making a gift—of any amount—to ensure Whitfield can weather the current moment, and what's to come.
Laura Lotz '95 Named Director of Alumni Relations
We are thrilled to announce that Laura Lotz ’95 will be stepping into the role of Director of Alumni Relations on July 1, 2020. Laura has been a fixture at Whitfield as an alumna and 19-year veteran of the English faculty. She will draw upon her institutional knowledge and commitment to Whitfield’s school community as she advances our alumni program. As Director of Alumni Relations, Laura will foster alumni involvement through social events, volunteer opportunities, and networking. She will build upon existing programs and establish new ones to ensure alumni of all ages are kept informed and engaged.
“While I will miss teaching, I am looking forward to the challenge of creating a robust, dynamic Alumni Relations program that will serve the needs of our alumni,” said Lotz. “There is so much that Whitfield continues to have to offer its graduates; there is so much our alumni have to offer current students and the community. The opportunity to engage with alumni of all ages, some who I had the privilege of teaching and some who I will be meeting for the first time, excites me. I look forward to getting started.”
Laura’s top priority for 2020-21 will be to launch a Reunion program! We will celebrate the graduating classes ending in 0s and 5s this fall! If you want to participate in the planning, or if would like to connect with Laura for any reason, please reach out! Email: email@example.com.
