Alumni Veterans: Day 2

In honor of Veterans Day, we are highlighting our alumni veterans throughout the week. Veterans, we thank you for your service! #WhitfieldAlumni

David Greathouse '02 graduated from St. Louis University (2006) and later from Washington University with an MBA (2016). He served five years in the United States Marine Corps with one deployment to Afghanistan (2009-2010). Currently, he is Procurement Technology Director at Anheuser-Busch. David’s wife Megan was also a Marine and was deployed to Afghanistan 2010-2011. They have two children, Isla (4) and Cullen (1).

Shawn Milligan '02 attended Indiana University and Westminster College before pursuing an Apprenticeship in the building trades with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 562. He was in the Missouri Army National Guard from 2009 to 2019, graduating the Basic Leadership Course with honors and finishing as an E-5 Sergeant, MOS 11B Infantry. Shawn is currently Chief Technology Officer at Concise Consulting Services LLC. The company performs 3D modeling and design for Engineering and Mechanical Contractors. He is also an Instructor at Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 562 and an International instructor for the United Association (International Union of Plumbers, Fitters, Welders, and Service Techs). He is happily married to his wife of eight years, Becky Milligan, former Marine and Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran, and proud father of son Mitchell. They live in Maryland Heights, MO.

Peter Greathouse '05 was a Gunner's Mate 3rd Class in the United States Coast Guard Reserves, serving 2012 until summer 2020. He attended boot camp at Cape May (2012), Gunner's Mate A School at TRACEN Yorktown, VA (2013), and Armorer School at Camp Lejeune (2014). Pre-pandemic, Peter’s civilian career was as an actor, stunt performer, and Operations Manager for a stunt team at Universal Studios Hollywood. Currently, Peter works as a Realtor at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Select Properties based out of the Town and Country office.
