Eighth Grade Celebration and Pancake Breakfast Honors the Class of 2030

Eighth Grade Celebration and Pancake Breakfast Honors the Class of 2030

Administration, members of the eighth grade teaching team, and parents gathered on the morning of May 13 in Schmitter Gallery to celebrate the Class of 2030 with an eighth grade celebration and pancake breakfast.

Families filled the gallery as Dr. Trevon Jones opened the program, reflecting on the growth, character, and accomplishments of the class. His remarks centered on a deep sense of pride in what these students have achieved and who they have become during their time in the Middle School.

The highlight of the morning followed. One by one, each eighth grader descended the staircase and paused at the landing to strike a pose before joining classmates below for a full class photo. The moment captured both individuality and community, hallmarks of the Whitfield experience.

Mr. Zach Schwarz then offered a few words of welcome and looked ahead to the students’ transition into the Upper School. His message acknowledged the significance of the moment while encouraging students to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

Following the program, students and families gathered to enjoy a pancake breakfast from Chris’s Cakes. The morning closed with a sense of celebration, reflection, and anticipation for the next chapter.
