10th Grade Students and Parents Make an Impact with Great Rivers Greenway
On Saturday, November 16, 2024, a group of The Whitfield School 10th graders and their parents participated in an invasive species removal project with Great Rivers Greenway. Organized by the 10th Grade Parent Liaisons, the service event allowed students and families to give back to the community through environmental conservation efforts.
The group worked together to remove invasive plants, contributing to the restoration of local green spaces. Their hard work and positive attitudes were a testament to the Whitfield community’s values and dedication to service.
This project served as an opportunity for students to apply their energy and teamwork outside the classroom, reinforcing Whitfield’s mission to cultivate engaged and responsible community members.
Thank you to the 10th Grade Parent Liaisons, Great Rivers Greenway, and all the volunteers who made this event a success!
