Congratulations Class of 2022!

Whitfield School awarded diplomas to 70 students during an in-person commencement ceremony held on Monday, May 23, 2022. A recording of the livestream is archived for viewing on the Year-End Celebrations page on Whitfield’s website.

During the ceremony, Whitfield Board of Trustees Chair Ron Fox ’74 presented the Chairman’s Award to Jim and Jennifer Koman (Michael ’22) and Head of School John Delautre presented the Louis Lazarus Award to Marla Ruff (Eric ’20, Chad ’22). The Senior Class Address was given by Caleb Joseph Hutchison ’22. The Commencement Address was given by Danielle Kayembe ’95.

A few stats about the class include:

  • The Class of 2023 received more than $4 million per year of college in scholarships 
  • The 70 graduates will be attending 51 different schools                                     

  • 72% of students who chose private colleges and universities               

  • 73% of students who chose out-of-state or international colleges

  • 19 graduates have committed to play collegiate athletics
