Evie Doles '23: Congress Champion

Whitfield senior Evie Doles ’23 and her horse, If Im Honest aka “Moose,'' dominated the competition at the All American Quarter Horse Congress, the largest single breed horse show in the world with more than 25,000 entries competing throughout the entire month of October.

Evie’s first place wins at the Congress include: the 15-18 High Point Champion, the repeat champion in the 15-18 Hunter Under Saddle, and the National Youth Association Team Tournament Equitation.

“Horseback riding is truly a partnership built on mutual kindness and trust,” said Doles. “Moose and I are pretty much best friends and it takes quite a while to establish that sort of bond with a horse. I know horseback riding might be considered a little ‘unusual’ compared to other sports like soccer or basketball, but it is an amazing experience and I hope people are interested in learning more about it.”

Evie is verbally committed to Southern Methodist University, currently #1 in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association team rankings.
