Meena Dang Earns Recognition in Voice of Democracy Essay Contest
Seventh-grader Meena Dang from The Whitfield School achieved remarkable success in the Voice of Democracy Essay Contest hosted by Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3944. Her compelling essay earned her first place at the post level, propelling her to the district-level competition.
At the district level, Meena continued to shine, placing second among other outstanding participants. She was celebrated for her achievement at a special luncheon on December 14, 2024, where district winners were honored for their essays exploring themes of democracy and civic responsibility.
