W-Day Marks an Exciting Start to the School Year
The Whitfield School's academic year commenced on Tuesday, August 20, with a warm welcome steeped in tradition. Seniors lined the front colonnade to greet new and returning Warriors as they arrived on campus, a gesture that extended even to parents, faculty, and staff who joined in the excitement of the day.
This year, the first day of school was also designated as a W-Day, bringing the entire community together for an all-school assembly in Woods Hall. The assembly featured introductions from STUCO executive members and class representatives, setting the tone for a year of leadership and student engagement. Key school protocols, including the cell phone policy, dress code, and procedures for making announcements, were reviewed to ensure a smooth start to the year.
Following the assembly, students transitioned to a modified schedule, allowing them to meet with each of their classroom teachers to discuss expectations for the year ahead. The day was a perfect blend of community spirit and preparation, setting the stage for a successful 2024-2025 school year.
