College Counseling Team

Amanda Henry was named Director of College Counseling in December 2021 after serving as Associate Director of College Counseling since 2018.  Whitfield families appreciate the depth to which Amanda personalizes each student’s college search experience.  She teaches our College Knowledge course and is an active participant in equity and inclusion conversations on our campus. She holds a B.A. from Washington University, an M.B.A. from Saint Louis University, and M.Ed from University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Ebony Sistrunk joined the College Counseling Office as the Associate Director of College Counseling in summer 2022. Prior to Whitfield, Ebony served as Director of Academic and College Counseling at Lutheran High School South, where she was a transformative leader since 2015, organizing parent programming, advising academic department teams, and guiding students in college and career planning. Originally from the St. Louis area, she earned a B.A. in Psychology from Webster University and an M.A. in Educational Counseling from the University of Missouri.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Louis University, she earned a Master of Science degree in School Counseling from Indiana University.  Prior to joining the team at Whitfield, she was an elementary school counselor in the Hazelwood School District and a guidance/college counselor at Incarnate Word Academy.  She joined Whitfield in 2019.
