Class of 2023 Profiles

As a tradition begun in 2021, we want to introduce our newest alumni, the members of the Class of 2023, to the rest of the alumni community. Scroll down to see what they are currently interested in studying as well as a favorite Whitfield memory. Let’s cheer these new alumni on in their next adventure! 

LeLe Applegate is pre-med at Colorado College where she will also be on the dive team. Her favorite Whitfield memories are of time spent in the College Counseling Suite submitting her applications. 

Juni Asikainen is studying fashion design at Drexel University. She enjoyed beginning senior year chalking parking spaces with her classmates. 

Char Baird is focused on the fine arts at Columbia College Chicago. She will always remember fun-filled Spirit Weeks with classmates.

Ava Battram attends Butler University where she is exploring health care on a pre-med track. She will never forget the new tradition her class has begun when the senior class gathers to watch the sunset after graduation as their last official group act before becoming alumni.

Carter Beuc is exploring engineering at Drexel University. Carter will always remember and appreciate Spirit Week. 

Peter Blix is studying civil engineering at Saint Louis University. His favorite memory is working on his junior year English Great Gatsby project which allowed him to create a 20-minute YouTube video.

Charlotte Bluestone studies elementary education at Miami University. She enjoyed decorating the senior section in Woods Hall for Spirit Week.

Belle Bouchein is exploring business at Texas Christian University. She appreciated all aspects of Spirit Week. 

Noah Bourke is studying visual arts at Lander University where he will also wrestle. A favorite memory involves a field trip to Forest Park. 

Ilana Boyer is majoring in sports management at Elon University. Her favorite Whitfield memory is how all of the girls in her class used to sit in the art hall every morning before school getting to know one another and bonding. 

Mia Brandenstein is studying business entrepreneurship at the University of Arkansas. She will always think fondly of her field hockey teammates and their friendship.

Jackson Brungart is exploring business finance at Coastal Carolina University and is on both the cross country and track and field teams. He loved everything about senior social studies teacher Dr. Kwiecien’s class. 

Musa Butler is delving into communications at DePaul University. His favorite memory is winning the track and field state championship in the 4x4.

Braeden Calhoun plans to study electrical engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He remembers meeting his close friends for the first time at Whitfield.

Benjamin Carter attends Missouri University of Science & Technology where he studies civil engineering. A memory he appreciates is traveling to Kentucky to wrestle.

Emma Casado is a liberal arts student at Scripps College. She will always remember practicing and performing Lip Syncs with her class.

Jacob Charmley will explore computer programming and engineering at Michigan Tech after a gap year teaching at a children’s shelter in Thailand. He will always remember being able to spend quality time with his friends.

Jack Courtney attends University of Denver where he is studying mechanical engineering. His favorite memory is medaling at the state championships for track and field his junior year and bonding with friends.

Luca Crang is exploring business at Lake Forest College. His favorite memories involve hanging out with friends at sporting events. 

Kennedy Crisp plans to major in economics and minor in psychology at Spelman College. One of her favorite memories is playing hide and seek with most of her eighth grade classmates during Spirit Week.

Juliana Dahlhoff plans to major in psychology and minor in criminology at the University of Houston. Her favorite Whitfield memories are of all the interesting discussions in her social studies classes with Dr. Boyd, Mr. Coryell, and Dr. Kwiecien. 

Donovan Doles is studying finance and history at University of Rochester. His favorite memory is winning state in soccer junior year.

Evie Doles attends Southern Methodist University where she studies journalism with a minor in fashion media. She also competes on their Division 1 National Champion Equestrian Team. Her favorite memories involve all the fun had during Spirit Weeks. 

Ben Epstein is exploring business entrepreneurship at Wake Forest University. Meeting all of his now best friends in eighth grade is his favorite memory. 

Oliver Ferris is learning more about marketing while also playing baseball at Benedictine College. He enjoyed his sixth grade year in general. 

Lucy Gallagher is embracing the liberal arts experience at Kalamazoo College. Her favorite memories involve spending time with friends, especially during Spirit Week. 

Emilia Gervasoni is studying interior design at Arizona State University. Her favorite memory is of her sixth grade Lip Sync.

Kingsley Goodwin studies computer engineering at Drexel University. He will miss running cross country with the whole team. 

Evan Hackmann is learning more about entrepreneurship at University of Mississippi. Evan will miss his friends. 

Mariah Hill is exploring business at the University of Denver. Her favorite memories involve all of the fun and bonding that takes place during Spirit Week each year. 

Taylor Hobson is studying to become a physician’s assistant at University of Tampa. Her favorite memory is going to Camp Wyman in middle school. 

Quinn Hoerman is enjoying the liberal arts at Reed College. Quinn has too many favorite memories to mention; interacting with all the students and faculty made his time at Whitfield special. 

Treazure Jackson studies fashion design at Savannah College of Art and Design. Her favorite memories involve lunch with her friends and hanging out in Schmitter Gallery.

Jack Jiang is pursuing computer science and engineering at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His favorite memory is being the Whitfield Warrior senior year. 

Zach Kampen attends Augustana College where he studies graphic design and plays volleyball. Zach’s favorite memories involve playing sports and hanging out with his friends. 

Hayleigh Kennelly is studying game design at Savannah College of Art and Design. Her favorite memory is winning the Valorant state championship senior year.

Layla Kline plans to major in psychology at University of Kansas. She enjoyed her time with friends while at Whitfield. 

Teddy Kouvelis attends Washington University in St. Louis where he studies biology. He enjoyed bonfire each year and being part of the cross country team. 

Yuheng Liu studies computer science at Santa Clara University. He really appreciated all of his classes, especially computer science, economics, and the senior Capstone project. 

Kirin Lodhi is learning more about biology at University of Kansas. Her favorite memories are engaging in the 100 Neediest Cases work every winter with her advisory. 

Zoey Martinez is studying journalism at Fordham University. Her favorite memories are from bonfire and lip sync, especially junior year when they performed to “Dancing Queen.”

Eleanor McKown is majoring in sociology on a pre-med track at Bates College. She will always remember Field Day senior year. 

Stuart McKown is pursuing business administration at Loyola Marymount University. His favorite memories involve Spirit Week senior year.

Emmett Murphy is exploring business at the University of Missouri. He enjoyed the senior vs. faculty kickball game.

Tete Nelson attends Southern Illinois University, Carbondale where she is studying sports business and playing basketball. Her favorite memories involve Spirit Week and attending and playing in sporting events. 

Ivy Nissen is majoring in communications and marketing while minoring in media production at University of Colorado Boulder. She enjoyed being able to express her interests during the senior Capstone project.

Althea Norlund is studying political science at Indiana University Bloomington. She loved all of her senior year. 

Caleb Norman attends St. Charles Community College and loved his Capstone experience senior year.

Amalia Norris is exploring international business, fashion merchandising, and marketing at Marymount Manhattan College. Her favorite memory is watching the final sunset of senior year with her friends.

Max Ott is pre-law at DePauw University. His favorite memories are of Spirit Weeks. 

Louis Paese is pursuing environmental science at University of Vermont. He will always remember having Matt Politte as his advisor. 

Colin Prakken attends Washington University in St. Louis and is embracing the liberal arts experience. His favorite Whitfield memories are playing in the trash can band during Spirit Week each year.

Riley Querimit is majoring in computer science with a minor in graphic design at San Diego State University. One of her favorite Whitfield memories is spending mornings before school with her friends in the art hallway. They would all bring breakfast, hang out, and do homework together.

Danny Radke studies mechanical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis and is also on the tennis team. A cherished memory is winning the tennis singles state championship in his junior year. A good friend and Whitfield senior at the time attended the match along with his coach, and it was an amazing moment feeling all the support from his classmates and friends. 

Konstantin Radoman is studying biochemistry and molecular biology at Chapman University while also playing water polo. His favorite memories involve Spirit Week.

AJ Rallo is learning more about coaching and data science while wrestling at Bellarmine University. He enjoyed wrestling for Whitfield.

Austin Renner is exploring business at the University of Mississippi. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends. 

Abby Ressner studies computer science at Grinnell College. Some of her favorite memories involve having junior English teacher David Records as her advisor.

Brooklyn Rhodes is pursuing psychology at the University of Arizona. Her favorite Whitfield memory involves playing in the district championship basketball game junior year and being close to reaching her 1000-point milestone. She remembers many people came out, everyone was wearing pink, and there was really good energy in the gym.

Arlington Rhone is learning about sports management at Texas Southern University. His favorite memory is of a basketball road trip to Columbia, Missouri.

Will Rose is studying biomedical engineering at Boston University. His favorite year at Whitfield was his sophomore year. 

Stephen Rosenberg is double majoring in mechanical and aerospace engineering at University of Florida. His favorite memory is of Whitfield’s 30th wrestling anniversary celebration.

Cowan Sanders is exploring business while playing soccer at DePauw University. His favorite memory is winning state in soccer his junior year. 

Josiah Santiago is pre-law at The College of William & Mary. He really enjoyed social studies junior year.

Tyler Sargent looks forward to learning more about the law after a gap year pursuing soccer. One of his favorite moments is from his first year in eighth grade when his soccer team went undefeated and he enjoyed time with friends.

Sarah Schott is exploring business at Indiana University Bloomington. Her favorite Whitfield memory is of Spirit Week.

Nolan Schulte studies at Virginia Wesleyan University where he also plays soccer. His favorite memory is of getting to watch the World Cup in Spanish 4 with friends and teacher Cipriano Casado. 

Cadence Seim is studying mathematics at Webster University. Enjoying bonfire nights, sitting outside with friends and family, having hot chocolate, and listening to the trash can band are all fond memories. 

Nolan Simon attends Central Methodist University where he is learning about becoming a business analyst and playing basketball. His favorite memories are of playing varsity basketball with his older brother and Spirit Week. 

Joey Sokolik is studying sports management at University of Iowa. His favorite memories involve being in theatrical productions. 

Charlie Staley-Brain attends Wheaton College and is enjoying the liberal arts. He loved The Great Gatsby creative project in junior English teacher David Records’ class. 

Oneil Stanley is pursuing business administration while playing soccer at Virginia Wesleyan University. His favorite Whitfield memory is of winning the soccer state championship his junior year. 

Bethany Storey is studying film production at Emerson College. Their favorite memories were of participating in the junior year Olympics on English teacher David Records’ team.

Isiah Strachan attends Colorado State University where he studies biological engineering. His favorite memory is of winning the soccer state championship in his junior year. 

Bryson Sutton studies software engineering at Oklahoma State University. He will always remember the basketball trip to Columbia, Missouri his freshman year.

Tim Taylor is learning more about homeland security and intelligence at Embry-Riddle University. His favorite memory is qualifying for track and field sectionals in the 200m.

Drake Thompson is exploring exercise science while playing soccer at Truman State University. He enjoyed each year of Green & White games at the beginning of the year. 

Thomas Tlapek attends University of Arkansas. He enjoyed spending time with friends. 

JP Vestjens is majoring in computer science and minoring in economics at Rose-Hulman University. His favorite memories center around learning computer science with teacher Andrew Asikainen. 

Jude Watkins-Wedel hopes to double major in marketing and entrepreneurship at Farmer School of Business at Miami University. He will always remember hanging out with friends during his freshman year. 

Fallon Whitworth is studying criminology at University of Denver. Her favorite memory was of practicing and performing Lip Sync senior year.

Jayden Williams is pursuing criminal and forensic psychology at Maryville University. His favorite memories involve Spirit Week. 

Jorden Williams attends University of Illinois Springfield where he studies sports business and plays basketball. His favorite memory is beating Westminster in basketball his senior year at a Pack the Gym Night.

Olivia Wolf is exploring philosophy with an emphasis on art at Webster University. She enjoyed performing in theatrical productions while at Whitfield. 

Tommy Wortham is studying engineering and playing soccer at University of Missouri - St. Louis. His favorite memories are of playing Minecraft with friends in Koman Commons senior year.
