Family Engagement

There are numerous ways to get involved at Whitfield—and we are grateful for the many ways that our families support the Whitfield community. Whether lending a hand with decorations for an event, making a leadership gift to the Whitfield Fund, or serving snacks to hungry kids in the Campus Store, Conant Cafe, or the Dunne Concession Stand—there are many opportunities for you to engage in a way that is meaningful to you.

ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Building a community of innovation, collaboration and trust is an essential part of Whitfield’s mission. It is a goal that can only be achieved when all members (students, administration, faculty, staff, coaches, and families) play a role. We invite our families to be present by visiting campus often to attend sporting events, concerts, plays and social events.

Parents Council

Executive Committee

All parents and guardians of Whitfield students are members of the Parents Council. The Executive Committee oversees the operations of Parents Council and meets monthly to discuss committee activities, the budget, and community-wide events.

Class Liaisons

Each class at Whitfield has two to three "Parent Liaisons" who serve as social directors for grade level parent and student activities. Liaisons attend regular meetings, maintain class information on events and activities, and organize social events for their child's class.

Volunteers

Campus Store, Dunne Concession Stand, and Conant Cafe

Sign up for a shift in one of our campus venues and support our students by selling spirit wear in the Campus Store, snacks and drinks in Conant Cafe, or providing fuel for our Warrior sports fans as they cheer on our athletic teams!

Social Events

We have a full calendar of social events throughout the school year that provide opportunities for you to mix and mingle with other Whitfield families. As we get to know one another at events like these, our community grows stronger.

Philanthropy

Giving is one of the most critical ways our families support Whitfield. Whether you make an annual gift to the Whitfield Fund, recognize our outstanding faculty with a gift to the Honor Project, or make a leadership gift for a capital project, generous philanthropic support helps our school provide and sustain the uncompromising education our families expect from Whitfield.

International Student Hosting

Accepted international applicants looking for a homestay experience can be placed with a Whitfield family. These international students find that this helps with cultural adaptation and improves language development.
