C-Team Girls Volleyball Coach

Whitfield School is seeking a C-team high school girls volleyball coach for the 2019-2020 school year. Typical responsibilities include teaching relevant skills, tactics, and techniques while monitoring and enhancing performance by providing encouragement and constructive feedback. Additionally, coaches undertake additional administrative responsibilities as outlined by the head coach at practices and games. The first allowable practice for fall sports begins on August 12, 2019.

Faculty in Beijing, China

Whitfield School is seeking an energetic teacher of drama and English to support the school’s international program in a mainstream independent school in Beijing, China (Shunyi district). Start date is August 15, 2019. Applicants must be native English speakers.

Whitfield’s international program in China aims to integrate the strengths of both the Chinese and American educational systems and values as it prepares graduates to matriculate to universities and colleges in the west.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Location: Beijing, China
  • Language: Native English Speaker (proficiency in Mandarin not required)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Work experience: demonstrated competence in teaching drama and high school English (preferably two or more years of teaching experience)
  • Salary: Competitive based on experience. Bonus equal to two additional months’ salary for each teaching contract period
  • Insurance: Medical coverage provided
  • Boarding: Apartment provided. Campus meals included
  • Apartment Amenities: Refrigerator, Air conditioning, Internet, Cable TV, Furniture (Utilities included)
  • Airfare: One round-trip international airfare (to and from China) for each 11-month teaching contract period
  • Time of Contract: 11-month, renewable
