Whitfield Volunteers Participate in World Food Day 2018

Whitfield students, faculty, staff and family members participated in St. Louis World Food Day 2018 held Friday, November 2. This annual event engages over 1,500 “Packaging Partners” who assemble nutritious meals to help feed children and families living in need within St. Louis and Tanzania.

Whitfield volunteers successfully filled 23 boxes which translates into 1,104 meals during their three-hour shift! According to St. Louis World Food Day's Facebook page, nearly half a million meals were packaged during the one-day event.
