Middle School Spring Play Opens March 12
Posted 03/05/2019 11:26AM

Whitfield’s middle school spring play, “Para-Cosmic Home for Wayward Friends,” opens Tuesday, March 12, 2019. The play is an original script created by faculty member and director Keith Borzillo. Set in a transitional house for imaginary friends whose children have outgrown them, the story explores themes of friendship, growing up, and the power of imagination.

“The show features many funny and poignant moments about being a child— having a best friend, being lonely at times, and letting go of a chapter in your life as you grow into a new chapter,” said Borzillo.

The script is a collaborative effort with the cast. “I developed the story arc and wrote several key scenes,” said Borzillo. “The kids start with that material and then use their improvisational skills to create scenes and develop their characters. We work together to complete the final script.”

No tickets are required but seating is limited in the Black Box Theater located on the Garden Level. The show is humorous and appropriate for all ages.
