Posted 02/06/2015 01:40PM

The Warrior of the Week for February 6, 2015 is Lauren Oreto '15. Lauren distinguishes herself by active participation in discussions of challenging and difficult topics, which she routinely handles with care and professionalism. On several occasions, she has shared with her teachers and her classmates her intense passion for social justice, simultaneously demonstrating her intellectual engagement and deep thinking about history, identity, diversity, and multiculturalism. In fact, in all of her classes Lauren always looks for ways to go beyond meeting class or project requirements. She looks for solutions with meaning, and she is not afraid to learn from her mistakes. Lauren is a responsible, socially mature, intellectually curious, and conscientious student who is making the most out of her last year at Whitfield.
