Varsity Athlete of the Week - April 27, 2018
Posted 04/27/2018 12:25PM
The Varsity Athlete of the Week for April 27, 2018 is Sam Bolourtchi '19, a junior on the girls lacrosse team. In her return to the lacrosse program this season, Sam has led the team in points with 15 goals and 7 assists. In addition to the points produced, she is making a positive impact every day with her skill, knowledge of the game, sportsmanship, and competitiveness. This past week, Sam scored a total of 8 goals and 4 assists (3 goals vs Ursuline, 2 goals vs Nerinx, and 3 goals vs Rosati Kain). In addition to noticing her talents on the field, opposing coaches also notice Sam's sportsmanship.

In a recent email from an opposing coach after last week's game, a coach shared that his players discussed #28 the next day at practice saying, "She just was so nice. It almost made it difficult to go hard against her, but she was such a good player as well." Their coach went on to explain, "Sam is a great example of the sportsmanship we should all want our players to have."
