Posted 01/31/2019 09:30AM

The Varsity Athlete of the Week for January 31, 2019 is Aurelio Stucco '12, a senior on the boys basketball team. Last week, the varsity team finished with a 3-0 overall record with wins over Pattonville, Lutheran North, and Centrailia in the Pinkneyville Showcase. In the game vs. Pattonville, Aurelio sent spectators into a frenzy by converting on eight of 12 three-point attempts. In that game he finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Versus Lutheran North on Friday, Aurelio's shot was not falling as well, but he still found major ways to contribute by defending and securing six rebounds while also making smart plays on both ends of the floor. The next day, the Warriors faced a solid Centralia team and Aurelio took home game MVP honors.
