Golf Team Qualifies for State

Whitfield’s varsity golf team qualified for the MSHSAA state tournament with a second-place finish in the Class 2, Sectional 3 tournament on May 6, 2019 at Bogey Hills Country Club.

The Warriors recorded a team score of 351. Individual results: Clay Strege ’19 (8th place/84); Drew Newlin ’20 (10th place; 87); Donny Diemer ’20 (14th place/90), Henry Nordlund ’21 (14th place/90); Sam Miller ’19 (26th/99).

The Class 2 MSHSAA Golf Championships will be held May 13-14, 2019 at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield.
