Cats come up short against Whitfield, still in hunt for COC
Gorman focuses team on crown before district  tournament begins

After beating Reeds Spring in overtime on Tuesday, Feb. 10, the Logan-Rogersville High School Wildcats took on Whitfield High School out of St. Louis, in the annual homecoming game on Friday, Feb. 13. Although Whitfield plays in Class 3, they are one of the better teams in the St. Louis area, and it showed, as they gave Rogersville all they could handle and then some.

In the early going, the game got off to a very fast pace. Both offenses came out sizzling in the first quarter as neither team had a problem sinking shots. Meanwhile, the 'Cats defense tried to slow things down with the press, but Whitfield was wise to this and quickly figured out how to break it. After a ferocious first quarter, Rogersville was able to come away with a 14-12 lead.
