Founders John Barnes and Allan Cole assume ownership of the Dunford School located at 5607 Bartmer Avenue and continue operation under the name Whitfield School.Read more
Whitfield School purchases the former Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Kerth home, which includes 5-acre tract and announces plans to move during spring vacation. The building is converted to classrooms, laboratory and study hall. Classes begin on April 1st.
Student enrollment is 175 students.Read more
Whitfield School purchases a 12.5 acre tract, doubling the size of the campus. Read more
Whitfield becomes a non-profit institution.
Enrollment is 120 students for grades 7-12.Read more
Mr. Cole retires after Mr. Barnes' death.

Dr. Mary Burke was appointed as head of school in June with an enrollment of 35 students.

In November 2009, Whitfield seized the once-in-a generation opportunity to acquire property adjacent to the School's campus. The home and approximately 1.5 acres are the first addition to Whitfield's campus since 1966. Read more
