Annual Fund

Whitfield's Success Depends on You!

At independent schools, gifts to the Annual Fund help bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost to educate each student.  At Whitfield, we must raise $1.1 million each year for the Annual Fund in order to supplement this gap. Your support of the Annual Fund has a tremendous impact on Whitfield's ability to attract and retain excellent teachers, which is a hallmark of Whitfield. Nearly 60% of the Annual Fund supports teachers’ salaries and benefits. By making a gift, you are doing your part to ensure that Whitfield remains one of the top secondary schools in the St. Louis area.

Whitfield is able to thrive and excel due to the philanthropic support of our donors. Your Annual Fund gift is not only an investment in every student at Whitfield; strong participation within our school community is an affirmation of confidence in Whitfield, our faculty and our students. It signals to foundations and corporations that we have a school community that believes in Whitfield's mission. We count on Whitfield parents, Alumni, Alumni Parents, Grandparents, Faculty & Staff, and friends to invest in Whitfield students through the Annual Fund. It is important to emphasize that as much as we appreciate large gifts, small gifts truly help as well and make an immediate impact.

We encourage you to make your pledge by December 31st as gifts to this year's Annual Fund will be used for the 2017-18 school year. You can fulfill your pledge at any time as long as payment is received by June 30th. Gifts to the Annual Fund are tax-deductible in the calendar year for which they are made.
