Virtual Bookstore

As we approach the end of the school year, please note the following important dates and information related to the textbook buyback program and textbook purchasing procedures for the 2017-18 academic year.

Selling Books
On Tuesday, May 30st we will host a Textbook Buyback program from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Intellectual Commons. The Buyback program is offered by our Virtual Bookstore provider, MBS Direct, and allows you an opportunity to sell certain books back to MBS. If you have books that you would like to sell, please access our school's Virtual Bookstore at http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/whitfield.htm and follow the instructions to "Sell Your Books." When creating your buyback quote, please use the same e-mail address and password that you created when you purchased your books in order to retain any loyalty credit for books that have a guaranteed buyback value.

If you purchased books through MBS with a guaranteed buyback value, you will see a listing of those books and their buyback prices. This is the price that MBS pledged at the time of purchase to buy back each particular book. In addition to guaranteed buyback titles, MBS may purchase some of your other books, including those not purchased through MBS. You can generate a quote for those titles by selecting the "My Cart" tab on the Buyback page and entering the ISBN # located on the back of the book(s) you would like to sell.

After you finalize your quote, print a copy of the quotation and bring the quote and your books to the I.C. on May 30. We cannot accept your books without this quotation. If you are selling a large quantity of books, please bring multiple copies of your quote (one quote for every six books). You can login to your account at MBS any time between now and May 30th to create your quotation. If you are unable to attend the Buyback, you may still login to your account on the Virtual Bookstore after this date and follow the steps for participating in an Online Buyback provided by MBS.

Purchasing Books
The Summer Reading Virtual Bookstore will open on Thursday, June 1st. Please login to your account at http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/whitfield.htm and follow the instructions to "Order Your Books." You will want to select the term titled "Summer Reading." Payment is made via credit card and your order will be shipped directly to your home and could take approximately one week to arrive depending on availability and your selected shipping method. If you prefer to pay by check, you will need to contact the MBS call center at 1-800-325-3252. Manual orders do take additional time to process, so please take this into consideration when ordering with this method.

The Virtual Bookstore for the 2017-18 school year will open on Saturday, July 1st. Please order your books from the term titled "2017-2018 School Year." MBS will be offering free shipping on all orders greater than $99 placed between July 10th and July 16th, so please consider ordering your textbooks during this time. Remember, it could take several days for your books to arrive, so place your order to allow enough time for shipping prior to the beginning of school.
