Within our community of trust, students are encouraged to take risks and try new things—and they do.  Spirited and proud of their school, Whitfield students participate in myriad activities, support one another and celebrate each other's successes.

STUDENT LIFE

Whitfield is a school full of participants.  In addition to homework and academic pursuits, students may play sports, participate in theater productions, lead clubs, and get rowdy with The Green Scene. They do a lot!  We value trying new things, supporting one another and engaging in our community.  Below are photos of life at Whitfield.

Spirit Week

During this week leading up to Homecoming, students dress up every day and enjoy extended Assemblies at which classes are awarded Spirit Points.

Lip Syncs & Bonfire

This all-community event is the culmination of Spirit Week. Each class performs a choreographed lip sync, fall athletic teams are recognized and the students gather around a bonfire.

Theater

Whitfield's strong performing arts curriculum includes impressive theater productions for both Middle and Upper School students.  The Fall Pay, Student-directed One Acts and Spring Musical offer students many opportunities to build confidence as performers, directors and producers.

Collaboration

On any night of the week you will find Whitfield students hanging out on well past the end of the school day.  Often, students are working on collaborative projects for class or clubs.  Because our students come from all over the greater St. Louis area, students choose to stay on campus to complete group work.

Green Scene

The Green Scene is Whitfield's student spirit club.  While Whitfield students cheer on their friends and classmates even without encouragement, the Green Scene organizes special opportunities for the whole community to come out and show their spirit!

Service

Giving back to our community is important to our school community.  Annually, Whitfield partners with a variety of nonprofit organizations to facilitate service drives and volunteering opportunities.  Partners include: LifeWise STL (formerly Kingdom House), Special Olympics, American Red Cross, Operation Food Search, the Literacy Project, Northside Community School, just to name a few.
